General Questions

Are Bia products 3rd party tested?

While we manufacture our supplement in Canada within a registered facility, we have all of our supplements tested by a third-party lab licensed by Health Canada, ensuring unbiased results. If a batch fails to meet either the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) from Health Canada, or the standards set out by the United States Pharmacopeia (USP), it is removed and properly disposed of.

Are Bia products dairy, gluten, nuts, soy, and/or sugar free?

Yes, our Prenatal Supplement has been tested for allergens and is dairy free, gluten free, nut free, soy free, and sugar free.

When should I start a prenatal supplement?

Ideally, you should start taking a prenatal supplement, along with omega-3 and a personalized dose of iron, 3 months before getting pregnant. For more information on why, you can read our article on the subject — Why You Should Start a Supplement Before Pregnancy

Do I still take this prenatal through my entire pregnancy and/or while breastfeeding?

Yes. Our prenatal supplement is specifically formulated to be taken throughout your entire pregnancy. It is also recommended that you take a comprehensive supplement while breastfeeding, as your body will continue to require an increased amount of certain vital nutrients. Our prenatal supplement, along with Omega-3, and a personalized dose of iron, are suitable supplements to take while breastfeeding.

Do I need to take any other supplements when using the Bia Daily Prenatal? 

Yes. Our prenatal supplement does not contain omega-3 oils (DHA and EPA) or iron. We recommend that you consult with your doctor about both. Iron, especially, is a nutrient that requires a personalized dose, as each person's needs can vary widely.

What if I'm experiencing morning sickness and can't swallow pills?

This can be an issue for many. In designing our supplement, we divided the dosage across 3 capsules, taken all at once, or spread throughout the day. Dividing the capsules into 3 means that we were able to use a smaller capsule size, which may or may not be easier for you to swallow.

 

If you know that you still might have an issue, another benefit of our capsule format is that they can be pulled apart. This way, the powder inside each can be added to oatmeal, a smoothie, or your morning yogourt. Taken in powder form, most mothers (to-be) should have no issue, even on their worse mornings.

Subscription Management

Do I need to create an account when placing my order?

Nope! The information about your subscription is stored once you place your order. If you want to access that information, edit, or cancel your subscription, you'll simply click on the account link at the top of the website, enter the email address you used when placing your order, and a temporary login code will be sent to you. No need to remember any passwords.

How does your subscription work?

Our subscription works exactly as other types of subscriptions work, whereby you're billed either on a monthly basis, or every 3 months, with your order arriving at your door, seamlessly. When you place your order, we'll work with you to set up an end date for your subscription, based on where you are in your pregnancy journey. For example, we recommend that mothers (to-be) continue to take a prenatal through breastfeeding, so that time can be factored into the end date. 

 

On our 1 month plan, you're billed every 27 days. This is so we can ship your monthly order and have it arrive before your previous refill runs out. On our 3 month plan, you're billed every 85 days.

What happens once I give birth? Will my subscription end automatically?

Ideally, yes. We want your subscription to end in a way that is stress-free. To do that, we reach out once you place your order and work together to decide on an appropriate date for your subscription to end. The exact end date will be based on where you are in your pregnancy journey. That said, look out for an email from us after you place your order!

What's the difference between your 1-month and 3-month subscription?

There are two differences between the two subscription types —

 

1. The 1-month subscription is a month-to-month supply, meaning that you'll be billed each month (every 27 days), and a refill will be shipped to your door with a new, 30-day supply. Our 3-month subscription is a 3-month supply, meaning that you'll be billed every 3 months (85 days), and 3-months worth of capsules will be shipped to your door.

 

2. We charge a $10 flat-rate for shipping on our month-to-month subscription, meaning that $10 will be billed, along with the subscription cost, each month. Because we save on shipping costs when we send you a 3-month supply, we pass those savings on to you and give you free shipping on every delivery. 

Can I pause or cancel my subscription?

Yes. You can log in to your account page, where you can pause or cancel your subscription at any time.

 

You can also contact us by emailing — care@bia.store — and we can cancel it for you. Please note that refunds are only provided if cancelling your subscription within 30 days of your first delivery. Any cancellations after that point will not be eligible for a refund.

Can I update the shipping and/or billing information for my subscription?

Yes. You can log in to your account page, where you can edit both at any time.

Where do you ship?

All over Canada! If you can receive mail, you'll be able to receive our products.

How much does shipping cost?

We charge a $10 flat-rate for shipping on our 1 Month Supply subscription, meaning that $10 will be billed, along with the subscription cost, each month. Because we save on shipping costs when choose our 3 Month Supply, we pass those savings on to you and give you free shipping on every delivery. 

Do you ship outside of Canada?

At this time, we only ship to Canada. But we hope to offer international shipping soon!

What happens if my shipment is damaged, missing, or late?

In any one of these cases, contact us at — care@bia.store — and we'll see what we can do. 

Do you offer a money-back guarantee?

If, for any reason, you’re unsatisfied with your purchase, you can ask for your money back within 30-days of delivery. Beyond that point, no refunds are accepted, however, you may pause or end your subscription with us at any time by visiting your account.
