Benefits

Safety First With a Less is More Approach

Our multi-vitamin includes only 13 nutrients. Looking at the research, we found that many ingredients in other prenatal multi-vitamins either aren't necessary, or have limited evidence with regards to their safety during pregnancy. We think mothers (to-be) deserve better.

Selected for Bioavailability

Only 13 nutrients may not sound like a lot, but in the right quantities, and with each form of the nutrient chosen for its ability to be easily absorbed, 13 is exactly what's necessary.*

*in addition to incorporating omega-3 (DHA and EPA) oils, and a personalized serving of iron. Consult your healthcare professional for the amount of iron that's right for you.

Unwavering Quality — Through Testing

Very few multi-vitamins undergo regular quality testing. Our approach? Diligently test every batch, and publish our results publicly. This rigorous process not only validates our ingredient claims but also reflects our deep commitment to bettering women's health.

Product Description

Recommended for:
Mothers (to-be) that are trying to conceive, already pregnant, or have just given birth.

Our daily prenatal was designed, with the input of several healthcare professionals — and the latest science — to cover your baseline nutritional needs and support your baby’s early development.

Note: Multi-vitamins cannot replace a healthy diet. When you place your order, we will reach out with our recommendations for finding, and consulting with, a registered dietitian in your area. This will ensure that nothing is missed as you move into motherhood.

Directions

Take three (3) capsules daily, with food, either spaced out or all together. Each capsule can also be pulled apart, and the powder taken if pills are too difficult to swallow.

As with any multi-vitamin, consult your doctor before use if you are pregnant, nursing, have a medical condition or are taking any medications.

Why only 13 vitamins and minerals?

Less is more, but that's a little hard to explain in a couple of paragraphs. So instead, we put together an extensive article discussing our research and reasoning, including why we have excluded a large number of nutrients that other prenatal vitamins often include.

tl;dr — Many prenatal vitamins rely on outdated formulations. Our multi-vitamin is formulated based on the latest peer-reviewed research, a skilled panel of experts, and bioavailable forms in order to provide optimal doses of the ingredients you and your baby-to-be really need.

Testing and Transparency

Ensuring quality and transparency in women's health supplements is essential. With concerns about contamination and inaccurate labelling, robust batch testing practices are crucial.

We keep the bar high by testing every batch of our supplement, and publishing the results for everyone to see.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to our most frequently asked questions about this product

Is this multi-vitamin dairy, gluten, nuts, soy, and/or sugar free?

Yes, our prenatal multi-vitamin has been tested for allergens and is dairy free, gluten free, nut free, soy free, and sugar free.

How does the subscription work? Will I need to cancel it once I give birth?

Our subscription works exactly as other types of subscriptions work, whereby you're billed either on a monthly basis, or every 3 months, with your order arriving at your door, seamlessly. When you place your order, we'll work with you to set up an end date for your subscription, based on where you are in your pregnancy journey. For example, we recommend that mothers (to-be) continue to take a prenatal through breastfeeding, so that time can be factored into the end date.

On our 1 month plan, you're billed every 27 days. This is so we can ship your monthly order and have it arrive before your previous refill runs out.

When should I start a prenatal multi-vitamin?

Ideally, you should start taking a prenatal multi-vitamin, along with omega-3 and a personalized dose of iron, 3 months before getting pregnant. For more information on why, you can read our article on the subject — Why You Should Start a Multi-Vitamin Before Pregnancy

Do I still take this prenatal through my entire pregnancy and/or while breastfeeding?

Yes. Our prenatal multi-vitamin is specifically formulated to be taken throughout your entire pregnancy. It is also recommended that you take a comprehensive multi-vitamin while breastfeeding, as your body will continue to require an increased amount of certain vital nutrients. Our prenatal multi-vitamin, along with Omega-3, and a personalized dose of iron, is a suitable multi-vitamin to take while breastfeeding.

Do I need to take any other supplements when using the Bia Daily Prenatal?

Yes. Our prenatal multi-vitamin does not contain omega-3 oils (DHA and EPA) or iron. We recommend that you consult with your doctor about both. Iron, especially, is a nutrient that requires a personalized dose, as each person's needs can vary widely.

Read more about DHA here, and read more about iron requirements here.

What if I'm experiencing morning sickness and can't swallow pills?

This can be common for many mothers (to-be). In designing our multi-vitamin, due to the amount of each nutrient, we had to divide the dosage across 3 capsules, to be taken all at once, or spread throughout the day. As a benefit, dividing the capsules into 3 means that each one is smaller than what a standard size might be, which may or may not be easier for you to swallow.

If you know that you still might have an issue, another benefit of our capsule format is that they can be pulled apart. Doing so, the powder inside each can be poured out and added to oatmeal, a smoothie, or your morning yogourt. Taken in powder form, most mothers (to-be) should have no issue, even on their worse mornings.

What independent testing do you do on your multi-vitamin?

While we manufacture our multi-vitamin in Canada within a registered facility, we have all of our multi-vitamins tested by a third-party lab licensed by Health Canada, ensuring unbiased results. If a batch fails to meet either the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) from Health Canada, or the standards set out by the United States Pharmacopeia (USP), it is removed and properly disposed of.

For a full overview of what we test for and how, you can read our dedicated page on the subject here.

Do you offer a money-back guarantee?
